I’ve been in social media since before the term came into popular use.  I remember the Internet before the World Wide Web, when AOL and Compuserve were walled gardens totally separate from it. I remember when e-mail was addressed with UUCP bang-paths, when you could actually specify the route a message took to get to its destination.  I moderated three e-mail discussion lists, and beta-tested the original IRC.  I blogged the aftermath of the dot-com crash, blogged applying to business school, blogged through business school.  Suffice it to say that I’ve been here a while.

Hm…

I think that despite its shortcomings, Twitter has the right idea for this sort of page.  Thus, I expand my profile from there in the “About” box.  (see top right of page)
